Best Poster-La Femme Desperado: I love this poster, I think its the best poster that TVB created this year. The poster matches the title perfectly. The feminine theme is tastefully done. The lovely fonts both at the top and the bottom are beautiful. The bottom font & border looks like its suppose resemble a golden gate. The backdrop of the city is also lovely, very similar to a Sex In The City poster I saw a while back. The color choice is also very good, I overall just love the glitter, glowing sky, and shimmer bubbles.
Best Background Music-CIB Files: TVB stepped it up with the background music in the series. I love that its very diverse with both various Cantonese & English songs. The english songs in this series are great, I was so surprise to hear music from Audio Bullys, and even the hit song "A Little Less Conversation" a remix of Elvis Presley original in this series.
The Award for Best Lighting-Under The Canopy of Love: Who would want to watch a romance series if its all dark with grainy filters? No one. I think producers put alot of effort into the lighting in this series. I love the soft glow with a lite yellow tint. This filter worked magic, I think it very flattering to artistes as it made their skin look so perfect, it made their skin flawless looking because it kept pimples & wrinkles hidden under the glow of the filter.
The Award for The Absolute Worst Lighting-The Dance of Passion: OUCH is the word to describe the lighting in this series, because it will series hurt your eyes. I understand the producer wanted the viewer to feel the heat like they were their, but the BRIGHT BRIGHT yellow-orange tint is TOO STRONG. It so unflattering as every pimple, wrinkle, & age spot could be seen. Because of the brightness, Bowie Lam's skin looks very rough, and in some close up scene you can see his nose hair sticking out, I was like YUCK! Gigi Lai & Charmaine Sheh's snow white skin, normally very beautiful was turned into an extremely bright yellow tone, it was almost neon yellow. I swear, when ever I stare at both their faces for a long time, and then look at my white wall, I could see their images because of the imprinted bright image effect.
