TVB Generation's Coverage of the Miss Chinese International Pageant:

The MCI pageant will be held this Saturday, January 21st. The MCI pageant is one of the most respected pageant in Asia, so there is no doubt that it will be big. The 17 contestants are all ready to battle it out for the title and 1.2+ million dollars in prizes. The pageant originally began with 18 contestant with Vicki Ng-Montreal ( Shown on your Left) being the biggest hot favorite to win. Vicki however withdrew "voluntarily" because she didn't turn in the release papers in time. Vicki is only 17 so she need her parent's consent which her parent said did send, but TVB claimed that they didn't recieve in time. (Strange, I detect some conspiracy going on, maybe they wanted their MHK Tracy Ip to win). The pageant will be Hosted by Eric Tsang, Derek Lee, & Sam Mei. One notable judge is Carol (Dodo) Cheng. There will be a special performance by "Kenny", but I'm not sure if its Kenny Kwan. Last year's MCI Leanne Li, & Fala Chen will also be there. Linda Chung & Bernice Liu were also former MCI, but its not confirmed yet whether they will attend. I urge everyone to watch it. The pageant gave birth to stars like Michelle Ye, Bernice Liu, & Linda Chung so watch and see if any future TVB fa dans are in the making. This will be first pageant for 2006, but there wont anymore pageants for a long time, because the next Mr. HK & MHK wont happen until like July & August.
